Black Jack Composer Eiji Kawamura Passes Away at 78

Composer and arranger Eiji Kawamura, who contributed to the Black Jack OVA and movie, has passed away at the age of 78. An announcement from the Japan Composer and Arrangers Association said that Kawamura died on May 11 JST.

Kawamura was born in Hokkaido in 1946. He was a composer/arranger known for music for anime series such as Black Jack, Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor, Blue Comet SPT Layzner, Hades Project Zeorymer, Hikari no Densetsu, and Locke the Superman. He was also well known for his musical works in tokusatsu shows such as Kamen Rider Black, Kamen Rider Black RX, Kamen Rider J, Kamen Rider ZO, Gosei Sentai Dairanger, and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.
