Panasonic Group has released an original anime short film on YouTube.
The monofilmo Inc.-produced animation, which depicts the fantastical journey of two young siblings, ties in with the company’s The Land of NOMO pavilion at Expo 2025. The Land of NOMO is described as “an experiential pavilion that uses technologies based on Panasonic Group‘s long-standing research on ‘Human Insight’ to stimulate children’s senses and unleash their imaginative power.”
Kana Ichinose, Megumi Han, and Aoi Yuki star in the anime as Sora, Daichi, and Rococo, respectively. Hiroaki Kubo came up with the original story while Sakurako Ohara sang the anime’s song “YUME WA TSUBASA.”
Panasonic Group revealed its plans for an anime that “conveys the world view of the The Land of NOMO pavilion” last year. The project is intended to “enhance the experience at the The Land of NOMO pavilion, and to help those who cannot visit understand its world.”
The name The Land of NOMO comes from the idea that “things and minds are like mirrors.” The pavilion includes an “Unlock” Experience Area with four zones: Deep within the Mirror Pond, NOMO Forest, The Valley of Ancient Trees, and Into the Wide Open Sky.
