Production company Aniplex launched an official website for an anime film adaptation of Keigo Higashino’s Kusunoki no Bannin (The Keeper of the Camphor Tree) on Tuesday, showcasing a “super” teaser visual (pictured above). The film is set to premiere in 2026. Tomohiko Itou, recognized for directing Sword Art Online and Boku dake ga Inai Machi (Erased), is directing the film at animation studio A-1 Pictures.
